Format and Activities:
Participation in the festival was free with prior registration.
The festival brought together representatives of European cultural centers and language schools in Moscow, offering a cultural and educational program divided into several key blocks.
The centerpiece was language lessons led by experienced teachers, catering to both advanced learners and beginners. Visitors explored popular expressions in different languages, learned how to fit in at an Irish pub, discovered Polish culinary specialties, and explored how Swedish mentality differs from Russian.
The Speak Dating format helped reinforce new knowledge through small-talk sessions with native speakers of European languages.
Throughout the festival, guests could exchange foreign language books at both venues.
At the Culture Fair, visitors participated in quizzes, sampled national treats, learned about exams and courses, and gathered useful information about the activities of cultural or language centers.
The program was rich and diverse, featuring lectures on European regional languages, a flamenco guitar master class, Italian tombola (lotto), a Swiss documentary on the Romansh language, Polish folk songs, and much more. The European Day of Languages concluded with a vibrant concert by the Golden Horn Wind Orchestra.
